About Me

Alexi Sargeant is a writer, theatre maker, and game creator who lives and works in the greater New York City area.

​

Alexi writes about God, superheroes, Shakespeare, and other topics at the intersection of religion and popular culture at First Things, The New Criterion, The American InterestThe Weekly Standard, The New AtlantisNational Review, Commonweal, Acculturated, Aleteia, and The American Conservative.

​

Alexi graduated from Yale in 2015 with a B.A. in English and Theater Studies and then served as a junior fellow and assistant editor at First Things magazine. He's also worked with Great Hearts academies and Magnificat magazine.

​

Alexi has been telling stories and creating worlds since he was a small child, pacing the backyard and spinning tales for his younger siblings. Alexi has directed plays at Yale and in New York City. He also designs tabletop board and roleplaying games.

​

Alexi is married to the lovely Leah Libresco. He serves on the board of Catholic Artists NYC.
